The National Children's Month is celebrated every November, and this years theme: “Break the Prevalence, End the Violence: Protecting Children, Creating a Safe Philippines." Strikes the core and raises awareness of the on going fight against child abuse, neglect and exploitation that is still continuously rising with countless reports and cases.
This theme advocates and emphasizes the need to protect the children as they are one of the most vulnerable members on the society. As this different kinds of violence— physical, emotional, mental and sexual abuse— continues to rise, it is a call to action to the governments, schools, families and communities.
Additionally, the government must continue to reinforce the protection law for children and give justice to those children who have been involved in crimes that includes sexual assaults, physical, emotional and mental abuses, neglect and exploitation.
With all the sectors of society, we can help create a better and safer environment for all of us, especially for the children to grow and thrive. Let us create an environment where every child feel supported and protected, where their voices can be heard. Let us stand up and create a SAFE ENVIRONMENT and ensure that every child is safe and supported.
