The RA 8353 (The Anti-Rape law of 1997)RA (Anti-Sexual Harassment Act of 1995) is a significant law that was implemented to better protect the rights of every individual, specifically women, by addressing crimes that involves rape and ensure a stronger penalties for offenders. This law is crucial to in protecting every individual against sexual violence. however, there are still challenges that exist in fully implementing the law.

The law was necessary to provide a broader, more inclusive understanding of what constitutes rape and to protect individuals from different forms of sexual assault. It aimed to empower victims ensure that rape is not tolerated and shift the responsibility for the crime onto the suspect, not the victim.

The RA 8353 and RA 7877 is more than just a legal tool—it is  part of a broader movement to ensure that every individual's rights to their own bodies are respected and protected. As attitudes continue to change and victims are given the support they need, the law will play a crucial role in making the Philippines a safer place for all.

 I am Jediel Rinnah Joy Arlantico, I was born on may 22, 2009, and I am 15 years old. I live in Cabaroan, Sta. Catalina Ilocos Sur, I am currently studying in Ilocos Sur National High School.  Our country faces significant challenges such as typhoons and since Philippines is along the Pacific Ring of Fire it is also prone to earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. The challenges faced by the Philippines also includes lack of education and poverty. In response, the Philippines established earl warning systems in order to alert the people in the place that the typhoon is gonna hit, this also helps them to prepare and evacuate immediately. Additionally, in response to the poverty and lack of education, the government tried to improve the Philippine's education through k-12 basic education program and in response to poverty, policies from the government helps promote economic growth.
